1. Design & Mold Preparation
• 3D modeling: Hull curves and tubular buoyancy chambers designed with CAD
• Mold fabrication: Female molds for fiberglass hulls, sectional male molds for tubes
2. Hull Fabrication
• Material lamination: Alternating fiberglass mats and resin (hand lay-up/vacuum infusion)
• Structural reinforcement: Metal keels and ribs embedded in FRP layers
3. Tube Production
• Material cutting: High-strength PVC/Hypalon® fabric laser-cut
• Thermal welding: High-frequency welders create airtight chambers
4. Assembly & Testing
• Tube installation: Mechanically fastened to hull with stainless D-rings
• Pressure test: Inflated to 150% operating pressure for 24-hour leak check
5. Quality Control & Certification
• ISO certification: Meets ISO 6185-1 for impact resistance
• Sea trials: Maneuverability and self-draining tested in varied conditions
